My Birthday

Today is my birthday, and I decided to start my own blog!! I had been debating it for some time, and finally decided to take the plunge. I am new to all of this, and am excited to begin. I read so many other blogs, and realized I wanted to post my own thoughts as well. I had the time tonight because I was helping with babies, dog babies that is, and had to stay up with them as we begin to wean them to get ready to be sold. We recently had a litter of Parson Russell Terriers, and naturally, they are all too cute for words! They were born May 18, and wouldn't you know it, they already have names. Now, how did that happen? Let me see, four sweet kids, five perfectly colored pups, hmmmm. I will have to get to the bottom of this......

At any rate, I realized I am very grateful for all God has given me. I have a husband who adores me, and four amazing children, two of them teens, and my oldest, is pushing six three. No, it can't be true, how did they get to this place so fast, but wow, it is!! With boy, girl, boy, girl, our two, plus five dogs, we lead a busy life..it is certainly never dull!!

I will post pictures tomorrow of the pups, as they are up for sale soon, and will be gone, along with my sleepless nights, as we have cuddled and babied them quite a bit-myself included, to the point that they dislike being in their crate for too long!

I wanted to have an outlet for my creative side, that I could share with all in the hopes of inspiring others to create and flourish, and grow, in all things expressive of themselves, and their own ideas. I love to learn new things, not just show what I can do myself. I feel that a lot of people have a treasure trove of originality hidden inside, and perhaps this will spur you (you know who you are!) on to actually DO it, and share it!!

I will be posting fresh ideas, newly discovered gems of creativity, and pics of works in progress, and completed, along with some of my favorite organic recipes that I love to use all the time. (Yes, I can hear all my friends at church gearing up their printers for each one I finally let go!) I figured I might as well push the organic trend to everyone this way, in the hopes you can all feel as good as I feel now, in a way I never felt before.

I am off now, to grab some sleep before getting up early-need to get stuff done tomorrow-or is it today??? My oldest daughter had a horrid experience brushing up against a large, and very nasty, poisonous Buck Moth Caterpillar earlier this evening when after picking blackberries in our front yard, she next checked the strawberry patch and mistook the beast for some of the foliage. I will post a picture of the ugly thing tomorrow, if it still lives. How dare he hurt my baby!!! My brave baby is sixteen years old, by the way. We had to put a poultice on her hand to draw out the toxins, and I monitored her till she fell asleep. It was the poultice or the ER, and she chose the poultice. However, I kept an eye on her all evening, and refused to let her remove it, even though she claimed she was feeling better. The poultice was amazing, and after we very nearly devoured a bag of Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops she has finally fallen asleep, as should I......talk to you later!
